Hi everybody,

perhaps you'll find this job offer interesting or pass it to interested
parties.

With kind regards

Tibor tibor at linguistics.rub.de

Part time position for a researcher at Ruhr-Universität Bochum,
Germany.

The Sprachwissenschaftliche Institut (Linguistics Department) of
Ruhr-Universität Bochum invites applications for the part time
position of a researcher for three years (TVL-E-13, 65 %, starting
date 01.03.2017, no teaching obligations) in the DFG funded
project “Position and interpretation of adverbial PPs in German
clause structure” under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Tibor Kiss.

We expect a background in either the syntax-semantics interface,
or specifically in the semantics of prepositions. The project is
aiming at theoretical, corpus-based and experimental approaches to
the interaction between syntactic positions and interpretations of
adverbial PPs. Hence, a good knowledge in corpus linguistics or
experimental methods (judgment studies and interpretation studies)
in addition to a background in theoretical linguistics would be
highly welcome.

A M.A. in Linguistics is a prerequisite for the position, we
expect that the researcher will work on and ideally finish a PhD
project related to the issues at hand.

The Ruhr-Universität Bochum is an equal opportunities employer. For
further information, please contact Tibor Kiss
(tibor at linguistics.rub.de <mailto:tibor at linguistics.rub.de>). The
deadline for applications is 31.12.2016, please direct your
application to Anneli von Könemann
(vonkoenemann at linguistics.rub.de
<mailto:vonkoenemann at linguistics.rub.de>).
