ELDA has been strongly expanding its activities in the evaluation of
Human Language Technologies (HLT). The evaluation department at ELDA
conducts HLT evaluation activities and acts as a clearing house for this
area with the support of a network of evaluation units based on a large
number of European institutes, <br>
both public research centres and private companies. <br><br>
ELDA is extending its activities and is seeking to fill the following
positions: <br><br>
<font size=5><b>Engineer in HLT Evaluation Department <br><br>
</b></font>He/she will be in charge of managing the evaluation activities
in relation with the collection of Language Resources for evaluation, the
evaluation of technology components, and in general, the setting up of an
HLT evaluation infrastructure. As part of the HLT Evaluation Department,
he/she will be working on the European project CHIL (multimodal) and will
be involved in the evaluation of technology components related to
multimodal interfaces/sensors. <br><br>
Profile : <br><br>

Engineer/Master degree (preference for a PhD) in computer science,
electrical engineering, computational linguistics, information science,
knowledge management or similar fields <br>

Experience and/or good knowledge of the evaluation programmes in
Europe, the US and Japan <br>

Experience in project management, including the management of

the ability to supervise members of a multidisciplinary team <br>
