The VIII Simposio Internacional sobre Ideología, Política y Reivindicaciones en Lengua, Literatura y Cine: Sujetos subalternos will be held at the University of Naples L'Orientale on May 29-31, 2024. The Symposium is organised in collaboration with the California State University, Bakersfield, USA, and in partnership with Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla, México, and Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The languages of the Symposium are Spanish, Italian and English. The main objective of the Symposium is to examine language and discursive practices across various media, aiming to highlight the most commonly employed strategies in different genres. The Symposium also aims to offer a social, historical and critical approach to language and discourse, focusing particularly on "Sujetos subalternos".
