This is a kind reminder that the first seminar of <i>The I-LanD Seminar Series – 4th Edition (2nd semester)</i> will take place on
<b>Thursday, 5 March 2026</b>, from <b>16:30 to 18:30 (CET)</b> on <b>Microsoft Teams</b>.<br>

We are pleased to invite you to the seminar <b><i>Echoes of Hate: Negative Solidarity in Contemporary Communication</i></b>, which will explore how hostility circulates not only as isolated acts of aggression, but also as a social and discursive force capable
of producing alignment, affiliation, and shared identities. The discussion will examine how hateful and harmful meanings are echoed, amplified, and normalized across digital environments, with particular attention to multimodal and platform-specific communicative
practices. Drawing on the results of the <b>PRIN project ECHOES</b> (<i>English studies to Contrast Hate Online and Enhance Solidarity</i>), the seminar will present a data-informed and socially engaged perspective on hateful/harmful speech and online practices
in English multimodal digital texts.<br>
