Dear ILAT Members,

We are presently above the 100+ mark for subscribers!

ILAT (Indigenous Languages and Technology) is a newly created list and has
been active for only 6 weeks now. As many of you are well aware, the intense
interest in the developing role of technology in language revitalization
is increasing as opportunities emerge to apply new technologies, however,
few venues are available for information sharing and open dialogue. ILAT
was created to fill this void.

I want to encourage all of you who have joined the list to introduce your
technology interests and projects in relation to ILAT. I am sure that each
one of you share a common interest no matter if you are a student, tribal
language specialist, language teacher, linguist, computer scientist, language
advocate, anthropologist, media specialist, information librarian, etc.
It goes without saying that it would be perfectly fine if we had 100+ lurkers,
but it would be even more exciting if we had 100+ contributing discussions
(a big thanks to those who have already contributed).

Join in and support ILAT discussions!
