12th Annual Stabilizing Indigenous Languages Symposium
Call for Papers

Call Deadline: 30-Mar-2005

SILS 12 is hosted by the First Peoples' Cultural Foundation and the
University of Victoria, on the University of Victoria Campus.

Preference will be given to presentations that describe innovative,
holistic approaches to Indigenous language revitalization.
Presentations can take the following format: 20 minute talk (plus
question period), 1 1/2 hour workshop, panelist in a choice of topics.

Suggested topics for talks, workshops and panels include: Weaving
Language and Culture Programs Together; Language Immersion Programs;
Revitalizing languages without speakers; Repatriation of language
recordings; Other: (please feel free to suggest a topic)
