Glenroi is talking the Wiradjuri’s language

In an effort to achieve better long-term outcomes for its students, Glenroi
Heights Public School, in partnership with the local Aboriginal community, is
offering its pupils a range of language and dance lessons aimed at giving them
a greater appreciation of the Aboriginal Wiradjuri language.

In a trial program which kicked off this year, children at the primary school,
of which 45 per cent are Aboriginal, are being offered three Wiradjuri lessons
over a three week period.
