I am so saddened to hear this news. Darrell has been an inspiring and motivating leader to so many people and language programs all over the world! I will send good thoughts and prayers to him and his people.

We are saddened to inform people that Darrell Robes Kipp, Apiniokio Peta (Morning Eagle), the founder and executive director of Piegan Institute on the Blackfeet reservation is currently in hospice.

We know that he has both encouraged and inspired many community people in their efforts to sustain their indigenous languages. And many people have contacted the Institute with their thoughts and prayers.

Thank you for your continued prayers,

Rosalyn LaPier
