the Garifuna people of the Caribbean that tell of their original arrival in the 

Western Hemisphere from western Africa in the 1300's...intermarriage with 

indigenous peoples of the area and migrations around the Caribbean. Lending some 

interesting linguistic clues, the language spoken by the women is different from 

that spoken by the men.</DIV>
