<font size="2"><font face="georgia,serif">San Manuel Band of Mission Indians making television history with KVCR<br><br>DEBRA GRUSZECKI • THE DESERT SUN • JULY 18, 2010<br>USA<br><br>The Highland-based San Manuel Band of Mission Indians has made a $6 million donation to launch what promises to be the nation's first 24-hour American Indian television channel.<br>
<br>The channel will be on KVCR-TV, which broadcasts to hundreds of thousands of viewers across the desert and L.A. markets.<br><br>Station president Larry Ciecalone said he is pumped about the one-of-a-kind channel that will tell the stories of American Indians and Alaskan natives.<br>
