Thanks for this comment -- we're getting a bit off-topic for this list,<br>
but your remarks made me recall the instructions of the judge the last<br>
time I was on a jury. We were instructed to "determine the truth from the<br>
facts". The 'truth' was not given, but was to be determined on the basis<br>
of the 'facts'. That's a quite different orientation, but interesting<br>
nonetheless.<br>

a real philosophical study thats been wrestled with for eons and worth pursuing<br>
still, the various cultural differences between given "truth" its relation to<br>
the newer concept - "fact" where they intersect, and when they seem to be such<br>
opposite forces,people feel like they must choose between the two.<br>
Love this kind of wrestling because it keeps stretching the cellophane covering<br>
our hardened definitions. "reality" is much more illusive and slippery than we<br>
often want. noun obsessed languages really do present their own term problems.<br>

Hi, everyone. Thanks, Rolland, for sending this link along. I saw it yesterday,<br>
and I read through some of the comments. That was where I found out that there<br>
is quite a bit of controvery over whether the video is actually true. Some<br>
postings indicate that Jonah Mowry lied. I did not continue to look into the<br>
videos (due to time constraints) to see if the video was a hoax or not.<br>

Whether the video is true or false, I still believe it's important for us to be<br>
vigilant with regard to bullying. It has become apparent to me (through my own<br>
experience with my son being bullied) that the bullying cessation programs in<br>
our public schools are not working.<br>
