<b>Edu. Grant will Help Put More Native American Teachers in WI Colleges<br></b><br>October 30, 2012<br>Updated Oct 30, 2012 at 8:10 PM CDT<br><br>Lac Courte Orielles, WI (Northland's NewsCenter) - The grant has been awarded to Lac Courte Oreilles Community College, and the University of Wisconsin, Superior.<br>
<br>It will enable both colleges to launch a collaborative program to prepare more Native American teachers, some proficient in the Ojibwe language, for the classroom, with hopes of eventually offering immersion–type courses on the culture.<br>
