<div id="divRpF111638" style="direction: ltr;">CoLang, the Institute on Collaborative Language Research, will take </div>

<div>place at The University of Texas at Arlington from June 16 - 27, 2014, <br>
with the optional field methods/practicum courses running June 30 - July <br>
25, 2014. CoLang 2014 is an internationally-recognized language <br>
documentation and revitalization institute, offering a major opportunity <br>
to work to stem the tide of language shift and endangerment, and to <br>
increase documentation on the world's underdocumented languages. This <br>
year's CoLang Institute is under the direction of Dr. Colleen Fitzgerald.<br>
<br>
Thanks to co-sponsorship by the Linguistic Society of America, the LSA <br>
will offer several student scholarships to CoLang 2014. The deadline for <br>
LSA scholarships is March 27, with recommendation letters due on March <br>
31. The LSA scholarship application is now live, online for student <br>
members when they log into their accounts at the Linguistic Society of <br>
America website at: <a href="http://www.linguisticsociety.org/" target="_blank">http://www.linguisticsociety.org</a>. To apply, <br>
students login to their LSA account which should open to the Profile <br>
page. Under the Profile tab, click on the green button "Submit <br>
Fellowship Application". To complete the application, students will be <br>
asked for information about academic background and the names and email <br>
addresses for two recommenders.<br>
