We agree completely here.

I also wrote that it is far from the simplest hypothesis.
I merely wanted to make explicit a necessary link in the reasoning.
I did not PROPOSE inheritance or borrowing of language from Neanderthals,
that was the hypothesis being considered by others,
which I was responding to.
Does NOT mean I was in favor of it!
