Why should there be any difference in meaning?   The difference could have
been due to some other factor.   Besides, we cannot really recover any
difference between some of the many present formations (e.g. nasal infix
versus -e- grade versus nasal suffix).   There may as little difference of
meaning as there is in Latin between competing perfects:  such as pepigi,
pe:gi, and panxi.   That is to say, none!
