In strictly onomastic sources I have usually seen them ascribed to Latin
<Sanctus> and <Sanctius> respectively.  In the Castilian and Aragonese
citations that I've seen from the period 900-1300, <Sancio> is by far
the most common form, followed by <Sancho>.  Others include <Santio>,
<Sancius>, <Sanzio>, <Sanctius>, <Sanc,io>, <Sango>, <Santius>, and
<Sanxo>.
