Good Morning I-E-ists,

As to the ethnic background of the mummies of Urumchi, how about giving the
researchers time to do some dna-rna tests.  Won't that settle the argument?
They'll get to it one of these days when they have an extra $50,000 worth of
research grants to have hair sample checked at a scientific laboratory.

  No, I doubt that genetic testing could possibly settle "ethnic" questions--
  there is no way to assign a culture to a gene.  It might help to localize
  their genetic provenance, though.
