A recent attempt to dechiffre the Minoan script / Linear A is:

Aartun, Kjell.
   Die minoische Schrift. Sprache und Texte.
   Bd. 2: Linear A-Inschriften. Wiesbaden

      Gebunden   3-447-03860-8   DM 310.--

Aartun analyses Linear A as a Semitic language. His work has been critiziced
from certain quarters here in Norway. I don't know of any reviews of his books.
