.. the history of French is by far not such simple. Our time and the space
in the list would not be sufficient to list all the phonoogical and
morphological influences I only could indicate.
Or, regarding lexemes, e.g. a Swadesh-list produced by Rea (1973) of 215
lexemes there are 129 non-cognate between Molière-French and Latin (cited
from Embleton 1986). There exist several more works on this topic.
