 Dear IEnists,
Does anybody have some information about the Indic verbal root
ragh-/rag-/rak-, which has a variety of meanings incl. 'to obtain, to get'.
According to Monier-Williams, this root is only found in the root list
appended to Panini's grammar of Sanskrit. I was wondering if
anybody knows of this root in any other context, especially in
in later Indic (Indo-Aryan) or even in the rest of
Indo-Iranian? Also, if anybody knows the current state of
the debate concerning the reality of Sanskrit roots that
are only attested in the native grammatical or lexical
 works.

 Best regards
 Fabrice Cavoto.
