	Given that Albanian's unique status:
the only member of its branch; i.e. a relic
location in an area with no recorded pre-IE substrate languages
located not too far from the more likely proposed IE homelands
	It would that Albanian would be one of the most valuable languages
in reconstructing IE
	True, it's said to have a very high percentage of loanwords and
outside influence. But wouldn't that make it a tool for double checking
phenomena in the neighboring languages?
	So, I'm curious why it's not considered more often
	Is it more to do with its inaccessibility? Is there a fundamental
lack of investigation?
	Can someone offer more details about its "mutiliation"?
