If a language has been through a period of the type of phonetic change that
causes an excessive homophone load, then its speakers will be tempted to take
just about any word with just about any meaning from neigbors' languages to
avoid ambiguity in speech. E.g. Persian took the word {wa} = and" from Arabic.
