Am I missing something here?

It seems that French aspiré is just a case of /h/ > glottal stop

and that the /-s/ of <donnais> was also glottalized
	/-s/ > /-S/ > ? /-h/ > /?/ > /0/

perhaps similarly to final <-t> as glottal stop in some varieties of US English
	compare nigh /nai/ vs. (US dialect) night /nai?/
