According to de Boysson-Bardies, motherese does not have any real
translation in french. She mentions the expression 'parler bebe' as a
possible translation. But motherese refers more to prosody while 'parler
bebe' refers to simplified vocabulary or syntax. She uses motherese even in
a French text.
