Hatfield House is a Jacobean house built in 1611, in the grounds of which
survives a wing of the former Royal Palace of Hatfield (circa 1497). It was
here that Elizabeth I spent much of her childhood and where she received
the news of her accession to the throne.
Guided tours, in small groups, are arranged for you on Tuesday the 10th of
July, and there will be the
opportunity to purchase lunch during the time when you are not looking
around the house.
