Language Research Positions at UNC-Chapel Hill

We are seeking to fill two full time positions on an NIH supported study 
comparing the speech and language development of children with fragile X 
syndrome and children with Down syndrome. This multidisciplinary 
research study is being conducted at the Frank Porter Graham Child 
Development Institute at the University of North Carolina at Chapel 
Hill. The desired educational background is a Bachelor’s, Master’s or 
Doctoral Degree in communication studies, psychology, speech and hearing 
sciences, or related fields (speech-language pathologists are encouraged 
to apply). Applicants should also have experience working with children 
with developmental disabilities. Job responsibilities include 
administering standardized speech and language tests, eliciting language 
samples, scoring data, and optional involvement in manuscript 
preparation. Training is provided, and some overnight travel is 
required. We are looking for individuals who take initiative, pay 
attention to details, and have excellent interpersonal skills. If you
