Dear colleagues,

The Department of Linguistics & Phonetics at the University of Leeds
(UK) is advertising a Lecturer post in Second Language Acquisition.
This is a one-year contract, to cover for maternity leave.

Applications are invited from candidates with a PhD in Second Language
Acquisition and good basic knowledge of Generative Syntax. The
successful applicant will be expected to convene and/or teach on a
range of modules on our undergraduate and MA programmes in linguistics
and phonetics, including two elective modules in Language Acquisition
and two introductory modules in Syntax, and to undertake research and
administrative duties in the Department/School. The post is available
from 19 of January 2009.

University Grade 7 (£32,458 - £35,469 p.a.) It is likely that the
appointment will be made at £32,458 since there are funding
limitations which dictate the level at which the appointment can be
made.

Informal enquiries to Dr Barry Heselwood, Head of Linguistics and
Phonetics, email b.c.heselwood at leeds.ac.uk.
