Updated self-contained toddler recording harness?

Hello, I am interested in building a self-contained recording harness
like this one built by Margaret Fleck (http://talkbank.org/da/
fleck.html).

Has anyone tried building something like this recently? I contacted
Margaret Fleck and she said it's been years since she has worked on
the harness so I wonder if anyone else has had success or failure in
this area.
