Department of Speech Pathology and Audiology

Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine

 

Recent expansion of Canada's largest master's degree program in
speech-language pathology has resulted in the creation of three new
full-time, tenure track faculty positions.  Qualified candidates are
invited to apply.  

 

Highly regarded for the outstanding academic, clinical, and research
preparation of its graduates and the supportive learning environment
provided, the Department of Speech Pathology & Audiology in the Faculty
of Rehabilitation Medicine at the University of Alberta is housed within
one of Canada's top research universities.  Research initiatives by
Department faculty members are encouraged and supported through enviable
teaching loads, state of the art facilities and a range of other
resources.  Department faculty members are actively involved in
individual and collaborative research, nationally and internationally,
in basic and applied communication sciences. As part of the Faculty of
Rehabilitation Medicine (OT, PT, SLP) the Department is a key
participant in an interdisciplinary PhD program.

 

Located in Canada's fifth largest municipality and the capital of the
province of Alberta, Edmonton offers a high quality affordable

Qualified candidates must hold a PhD (Communications Sciences and
Disorders or related areas) and demonstrate outstanding potential for an
independent research career.  Clinical certification and experience in
speech-language pathology practice are desirable but not required.
Salary and rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
