Anna, thanks so much for looking and commenting on the pragmatics paper. Argh , why didn't my participant numbers add up? I must have been using a wonky calculator!!! Yes, that must be it.

As we discussed yesterday I need to mention that all responses were single word: How does this sound for the beginning of the results section:

Production of the verb in response to the experimenter's prompt, either on its own (e.g. Meek!)  or within a construction (Meek Doggie/ He can meek), was taken as evidence of pragmatic flexibility. However only one child produced a verb in a multiword construction (i.e. He can jump) with all other responses being single word utterances.

The School of Psychological Sciences, Section for Cognitive Neuroscience and Experimental Psychology seeks to appoint 1 full time Senior Lecturer and 2 full time Lecturers in Psychology. Candidates should hold a PhD in Psychology (or related discipline), and have a demonstrable research track record.  The Section for Cognitive Neuroscience and Experimental Psychology is looking to strengthen its research and teaching in Neuroscience, applied to Developmental Psychology, Social Psychology and in Communication and Language. However, applicants with strong track records in other areas of cognitive psychology/neuroscience research should also apply.

You will join the Cognitive Neuroscience and Experimental Psychology Section in the School of Psychological Sciences and the Centre for Clinical and Cognitive Neuroscience within the Faculty of Medical and Human Sciences. You will be expected to develop a strong programme of research and teaching. You will contribute to academic teaching and student support within their area of expertise, contributing primarily to the BSc Honours programme in Psychology.
