<FONT FACE="GrTimes">The Department of Speech and Language Therapy of the Technological Educational Institute of Patras is one of only two accredited institutes of highest learning in Greece that offer a Bachelor's Degree in Speech Therapy.  Due to the European system in effect the students are required to complete a minimum of 40 courses of which 23 are in the field of communication disorders whereas the remaining are required background courses in Linguistics, Medical Sciences and Psychology, etc.  Additionally, all students must complete 900 hours of supervised clinical training and a bachelor's thesis.<BR>

The department has openings for two tenure-track as follows:<BR>

1)Assistant Professor in the field of Phonological Disorders.<BR>

2)Assistant Professor in the field of Developmental Disorders.<BR>

The requirements are a Ph.D. in the field from an accredited university, at least 3 journal publications and a minimum of 4 years experience in the field of speech pathology, two of which may be teaching.  Of course the candidate must be fluent in Greek.<BR>
