</b>Owing to the promotion of the former department chair to Dean of the
College of Health and Human Services, the chair position at the
Department of Communication Disorders at Bowling Green State University
has become available. The department is seeking an individual to
continue its forward momentum following a period of rapid growth.
During the last three years, five new tenure track faculty were hired,
four owing to retirements and one on a new faculty expansion line. The
department is housed in recently renovated surroundings, with new
academic, clinic and research facilities. The department and the
expanding College of Health and Human Services are committed to providing
an environment that promotes collaborative initiatives and exciting
opportunities for professional excellence. <br><br>
<b>Description:<br>
</b>A senior scholar possessing qualifications to be appointed at Full
Professor rank is sought. Candidates with strong administrative
credentials at the associate rank will be considered. An earned doctorate
is required, preferably in communication disorders or
speech-language-hearing sciences. Candidates with doctorates in
allied areas and relevant experience with communication disorders will
also be considered. Candidates must have prior administrative
experience. A record of scholarly achievement with evidence of external
funding success is desired. <br><br>
