<DIV></DIV>>Position available as a lab coordinator/ research specialist to run
<DIV></DIV>>event-related potential (ERP) studies of language development. We
<DIV></DIV>>are looking for someone with exceptional people and organizational
<DIV></DIV>>skills who is interested in brain and language development. This is
<DIV></DIV>>an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to gain research
<DIV></DIV>>experience before going to graduate school. Two-year commitment
<DIV></DIV>>required.
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>>The position includes data collection and analysis for
<DIV></DIV>>electrophysiological studies using the event related potential (ERP)
<DIV></DIV>>technique with infants, children, and clinical populations and
<DIV></DIV>>includes supervision of undergraduate student assistants. The
<DIV></DIV>>position also includes scheduling research participants, maintenance
<DIV></DIV>>of both database (using FoxPro and excel), and paper files and data
<DIV></DIV>>books, data back up, some clerical work, care for the electrocaps,
<DIV></DIV>>and assisting with preparation of manuscripts for publication and
<DIV></DIV>>presentations at scientific conferences. Collection and analysis of
<DIV></DIV>>the event-related potential studies includes special skills at using
<DIV></DIV>>custom computer software on PCs, Mac and Unix computers, application
<DIV></DIV>>of the electrocaps, as well as experience in working with normally
<DIV></DIV>>developing infants, children and adults and infants and children
<DIV></DIV>>from clinical and language impaired populations. Training on the use
<DIV></DIV>>of custom software and event-related potential techniques will be
<DIV></DIV>>provided.

<DIV></DIV>>Requirements:
<DIV></DIV>>B.A. in Psychology or related field
<DIV></DIV>>Research experience with infants and children
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>>Highly Recommended are:
<DIV></DIV>>Background in developmental psychology and/or cognitive
<DIV></DIV>>neuroscience
<DIV></DIV>>Proficiency in a variety of computer operating systems
<DIV></DIV>>Expertise in using statistical packages
