LECTURESHIP in PSYCHOLOGY/NEUROPSYCHOLOGY<br>

23,259 - Ł 35,813 including London allowance). <br>

A new lectureship is available within this department, one of the largest

academic departments in the UK specialising in communication disorders

and in undergraduate and postgraduate training of speech and language

therapists. Human Communication Science has close links with other UCL

departments, including Psychology, Phonetics & Linguistics, the

postgraduate Institutes of Child Health, Neurology, Cognitive

Neuroscience and the recently created UCL Centre for Human Communication.

The department was awarded full marks in the QAA subject review of

teaching and learning. It gained a 5(c) in the 2001 RAE, in which all

Psychology staff were entered. The Department also hosts the Centre for

Developmental Language Disorder and Cognitive Neuroscience (Director

Professor H.van der Lely). <br>

The successful applicant for this new post will have an established

record of research and an explicit research plan.  The postholder

will contribute to the psychology components of teaching within the

department, which runs undergraduate programmes in speech science and

audiology, as well as taught postgraduate courses and a MPhil-PhD

programme. Applicants with expertise in the following areas are

particularly encouraged to apply: cognitive neuropsychology and cognitive

neuroscience; cognitive development; research design and statistics<br>
