UL - LAFAYETTE INSTITUTE OF COGNITIVE SCIENCE. The Institute of
Cognitive Science at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette invites
applications for anticipated Assistant Professor positions in cognitive
science beginning as early as Spring 2004 or Fall 2004. The Institute
of Cognitive Science is a graduate department offering a Ph.D. degree
in cognitive science. Focal areas of the program are in human
cognitive processes, cognitive development, comparative cognition,
computational modeling of cognition, creativity, adaptive processes in
humans and machines, cognitive neuroscience, psycholinguistics,
philosophy of mind, and philosophical foundations of cognitive

Applicants from all areas will be considered. However, we are seeking,
in particular, scholars with strong research backgrounds in cognitive
development, psycholinguistics, or computational modeling. Applicants
should hold a Ph.D. in cognitive science, psychology, artificial
intelligence or a related discipline, and must exhibit evidence of a
productive research program and strong potential for excellence in
teaching.<br>
