The Department is one of the largest UK centres for education and
research in communication disorders. It gained a rating of 5 in the last
RAE and has ESRC recognition for PhD and MSc research training
programmes.<br>
<br>
This PhD Studentship offers an opportunity to graduates who would like to
pursue research within one of the following departmental research groups:

You would receive a tax-free Thestipend of is £10, 800 £12,500 per annum
and your fees would be paid (Home/EU rate only). You would also be
offered up to six hours a week of teaching for which you would be
paid extra. p.a. plus MPhil/PhD fees (home rate) without teaching, and
??? with <br>
<br>
You should have a BSc/BA (1st or 2.1) and/or MSc/MA, or equivalent, in
speech and language therapy, speech sciences, linguistics, psychology or
a related subject. You should also be able to demonstrate exceptional
research potential and are likely to have undertaken recent graduate
study. <br>
