<DIV>The Bamford-Lahey Children's Foundation has recently awarded funding
for two research grants through its Grant Program. One grant,
<EM>Effects of stimulating phoneme awareness on other linguistic skills in
preschoolers with speech and language impairment, </EM>was awarded to Anne Tyler
of the University of Nevada School of Medicine and Gail Gillon from the
University of Canterbury, NZ. The second grant, <EM>Determining the impact
of natural development and summer vacation on the speech and language skills of
school-aged children with communication disorders</EM> was awarded to
Robert Mullen and Tracy Schooling of The American Speech-Language-Hearing
