Utrecht Institute of Linguistics OTS will hold its third workshop on the issue of Experimental Methods in Language Acquisition Research (EMLAR III). This workshop, which is part of the Netherlands Graduate School of Linguistics (LOT) graduate programme, aims to provide PhD and MA students with the opportunity to learn more about the different methods used in the field of (first and second) language acquisition research. The programme will consist of a series of lectures (each on a different method), and several more hands-on sessions on more practical aspects of language acquisition research. Each session addresses issues such as: subject selection, rationale behind a given method, practicalities involved in the actual execution of the experiment, advantages and disadvantages of a given method and do's and don't's.<BR>
