Assistant Professor in Child Language</b></font> <br>
The Northwestern University, Roxelyn & Richard Pepper Department of
Communication Sciences and Disorders is searching for a faculty member at
the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, with a promising or
established research program on child language with an emphasis on
disorders, learning, acquisition and/or processing, with a vision to
pursue a program of translational research. Areas of particular interest
include, but are not limited to: specific language impairment, autism,
Downs syndrome, cochlear implants, and emerging literacy. This nine-month
tenure-track position is based on the Evanston campus. Preferred starting
date: September 1, 2007.<br>
<b>Duties: </b>Development of a fundable program of research, teach
courses in child language disorders and related topics, direct student
research, and provide academic advising.<br>
<b>Qualifications: </b><u>Earned</u> Ph.D. required. The candidate must
have interests and experience required to teach courses in the Department
and develop interdisciplinary research affiliations with other units of
the University. <br>
<b>Salary: </b>Competitive, depending on qualifications and
experience.<br>
