accordance with its strategic plan, the Department of Speech, Language, and
Hearing Sciences at <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:PlaceName
w:st="on">Purdue</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceType
w:st="on">University</st1:PlaceType></st1:place> invites applications for an
Assistant Professor who will pursue an active research program in the area of
autism spectrum disorders.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>This
position is a permanent tenure track 10-month appointment available Fall
2008.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Ph.D. required.<SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Numerous opportunities are available for
interdisciplinary collaboration in neurosciences, linguistics, education or
psychological sciences.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>There is
also support infrastructure for developmental research, with NIH and NSF funded
faculty in infant speech perception and production, language and speech
development and disorders, attention, and neuroimaging.<SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Purdue boasts a top ranked clinical
program with a rich pediatric population.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes">
</SPAN>Teaching duties include undergraduate and graduate courses in
developmental language disorders and related areas.<SPAN
