Dear Nick,<br>
<br>
I haven't looked into how to do it in CLAN, but once you have the ID
tier from COMBO (as you described below), then, assuming you use EXCEL,
you can just copy-paste your results into a spreadsheet and use the
text import wizard which will allow you to separate what you're pasting
into different columns. That way you will have a column with ages only.
It shouldn't take more than one minute. It is very inelegant though ;-)<br>

In COMBO you can use +o@ID option to see the ID tier, which should
have the age on it, in the output. The same applies to KWAL. The other
programs
to not have this option at this time.
They also mentioned there was an e-mail address of technical CLAN
queries - <a class="moz-txt-link-abbreviated" href="mailto:chibolts@googlegroups.com">chibolts@googlegroups.com</a>

<pre wrap="">Hi
I'd like to be able to output children's ages from the CLAN programs
COMBI and FREQ. I can only get them to output the name of the datafile
where the item occurs. I can then obtain the children's ages by
looking at the headers in the datafile. However, this is a bit
longwinded and time-consuming, so if anyone knows of a way to
automatically output the children's ages I'd be very appreciative.
Thanks
Nick Riches.
P.S. I've been looking at the STATFREQ command, but it doesn't quite
seem to do what I require.
