Dear All,
I am a PhD student researching the acquisition of object markers in Bemba, a Bantu language widely spoken in Zambia. I would like to calculate MLU of the children I am studying but have realized that using words as units of measurement is not an accurate way of finding the MLU in an agglutinating language like Bemba. I would appreciate learning from those who have faced a similar problem and how they solved it using CLAN.
Thank you.
Joseph Mwansa
PhD student
University of Leeds
School of Modern Languages and Cultures
