<p style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif" class="MsoNormal"><font><span lang="EN">The <a href="http://www.temple.edu/infantlab/" target="_blank">Temple University Infant and Child Laboratory at Ambler</a> is looking for a laboratory
coordinator to start in June 2012.<span>  </span>This
position presents diverse opportunities to participate in cutting-edge developmental
research. The Temple University Infant and Child Lab at Ambler, directed by
Professors Kathryn Hirsh-Pasek and Nora Newcombe, conducts research on language
acquisition, play and the arts, spatial development, and memory
development.<span>  </span></span>This is a two-year
position.<span lang="EN"></span></font></p>

<p style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif" class="MsoNormal"><font><span lang="EN"> </span></font></p>

<p style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif" class="MsoNormal"><font><span lang="EN">Duties include:</span></font></p>

<ul><li><font><span></span></font><font><span>Management of day-to-day operations</span></font></li><li><font><span></span></font><font><span>Stimuli creation, subject recruitment
     and scheduling, and data collection, coding and analysis with children
     aged 2 months to 10 years</span></font><font><span><br></span></font></li><li><font><span>Organization and dissemination of
     research findings at collaborative lab meetings and in federal grant
     reports</span></font><font><span><br></span></font></li><li><font><span>Management of IRB protocols</span></font><font><span><br></span></font></li><li><font><span>Research grants administration and
     accounting</span></font><font><span><br></span></font></li><li><font><span>Event planning (e.g. lab meetings,
     promotional events, and news network filming)</span></font><font><span><br></span></font></li><li><font><span>Hiring, training, and supervising undergraduate
     and volunteer research assistants</span></font></li></ul>

<p style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif" class="MsoNormal"><font><span lang="EN">Lab coordinators
also frequently have the opportunity to be collaborators in research that will
be presented at major conferences and published in major journals.</span></font></p>

     in Psychology, Neuroscience, Linguistics or related field</span></font></li></ul><p style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif" class="MsoNormal"><font><span lang="EN"><br></span></font></p><p style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif" class="MsoNormal">






<font><span lang="EN">Preferred
qualifications:</span></font><font><span lang="EN"><br></span></font></p><ul><li><font><span lang="EN">Six months
     experience working with children between the ages of 2 months to 10 years
     in a research setting</span></font><font><span lang="EN"><br></span></font></li><li><font><span lang="EN">Computer skills and
     proficiency with MS Office and SPSS/SAS software packages</span></font><font><span lang="EN"><br></span></font></li><li><font><span lang="EN">Excellent
     communication, interpersonal, leadership, multi-tasking and organizational
     skills</span></font><font><span lang="EN"><br></span></font></li><li><font><span lang="EN">The ability to
     interact with a diverse population of program participants</span></font><font><span lang="EN"><br></span></font></li><li><font><span lang="EN">Ability to work
     independently as well as part of a team</span></font><font><span lang="EN"><br></span></font></li><li><font><span lang="EN">Ability to travel
     to off-site locations that may not be accessible by public transportation</span></font></li></ul><p style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif" class="MsoNormal"><font><span lang="EN"><br></span></font></p>
