<p>We are seeking to appoint a Research Assistant to work with Professor Suzanne Graham (Institute of Education), Dr Theo Marinis (Clinical Language Sciences) and Dr Alan Tonkyn (Applied Linguistics).</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Funded by the Nuffield Foundation, the post, which is full-time for 24 months from 1 April 2012, will involve working on a project investigating the learning and teaching of French in primary schools.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>You will have:</p>
<ul style="FONT-FAMILY: Tahoma; FONT-SIZE: 10pt">
<li>Extensive knowledge of languages education, with a working knowledge of French
<br>
</li><li>Good interpersonal, IT and organisational skills and the ability to liaise with various agencies including schools
<br>
</li><li>The ability to work independently <br>
</li><li>A first degree in a relevant discipline <br>
</li><li>Experience in qualitative and quantitative research methods <br>
</li><li>The post will involve travel to schools.</li></ul>
