arise? If we consider theater monologue, logorrhea, children’s egocentric
language and even psychoanalysis as forms of self-talk, are there common
criteria for defining monologues or do these forms vary radically? How can we
describe them, both in terms of their linguistic properties and as expressions
of their speakers’ subjectivity? The issues raised by monologues are numerous.
Rarely studied from a multidisciplinary perspective, monologues allow human
beings to question how they relate to the self, to language and to others.</span></p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt;text-align:
