These<br>positions are aimed at providing outstanding postdoctoral researchers<br>with an opportunity for an extended period of research and a permanent<br>career path. The positions offer the opportunity of a 3-year period to<br>concentrate on establishing a strong personal research profile,<br>followed by a transfer to an established academic post; subject to<br>successful completion of probation, appointments will be made at Grade<br>7 (the entry-level academic grade of Lecturer). Each Anniversary<br>Research Lecturer will have a mentor in the host department and the<br>University will make available a comprehensive training programme.<br><br>The Department of Language and Linguistic Science invites applications<br>from junior scholars whose research interests will complement our<br>current major specialisations, or will increase the breadth of study<br>within the department.
