about the news in Croatian corpus in CHILDES (Kovacevic, 2002). We have updated
the files unifying the corpus and correcting some errors (I would like to help
Brian MacWhinney for his tremendous help in this matter). Files have been liked
to audio files.</span></p>

It strikes me that I have been a bit remiss over the last few months in terms of reporting the addition of new corpora to CHILDES, so let me catch up with this news. There are four major new corpora.<br>
1. Silvia Nieva Ramos has contributed a longitudinal study of a Spanish girl Mendía from 1;8 to 2;3. The data are well-recorded, nicely transcribed, and linked to video.<br>
2. Roberto Soto Valle has contributed a longitudinal-lagged study of 8 Basque-speaking children, also linked to clear video.<br>
3. Caroline Rowland has contributed a corpus from the English-speaking girl Lara, recorded as much as 8or 9 times a month, along with diary notes.<br>
4. Yoshiko Okayama and Susanne Miyata have contributed a cross-sectional corpus from 130 Japanese-speaking children between 2;2 and 4;11. The data were recorded between 1969 and 1971 in Osaka.<br>
Thanks to Silvia, Roberto, Caroline, Yoshiko, and Susanne for their lovely contributions.<br>

In addition to these new corpora, we have been working to reformat, link, and morphologize several other corpora. The Weist corpus for English is now linked to audio and will soon be analyzed by MOR. The Braunwald diary data will also soon be added to accompany the Braunwald transcripts. We have also been working on several corpora from preschool interactions in the US. These are from Sawyer, Sprott, and Packer. The Sprott and Sawyer files are now in CHAT and Sawyer is linked to audio. We are still working on the Sprott and Packer preschool corpora.<br>
