<b><span lang="EN">Two Post Doctoral Fellow Position Openings at
Temple University Infant and Child Lab</span></b><span lang="EN"></span>

<p><span lang="EN">The Temple
University Infant and Child Laboratory at Ambler is looking for two post-doctoral
fellows for Dr. Kathy Hirsh-Pasek’s IES-funded collaborative studies:</span></p>

<p><span lang="EN">One post-doctoral
fellow will be coordinating a project in collaboration with University of
Delaware, Vanderbilt University and Lehigh University. This project aims </span>to
test the effectiveness of book-reading and play activities for building
preschool teachers' abilities to foster vocabulary and broader language skills
among children from low-income homes in the Lehigh Valley (Bethlehem,
Allentown, Easton - PA). <span lang="EN"></span></p>

<p><span lang="EN">The second fellow
will be coordinating a project in collaboration with University of Delaware and
Smith College. This project aims to develop a computerized early language
assessment to screen for language disorders in monolingual and
Spanish-bilingual preschoolers.</span></p>

<p><span lang="EN">Both </span>positions
have a 1-year minimum, with the possibility of extending to 2 years.<span lang="EN"></span></p>

<p><span lang="EN">As the project
coordinator, the post-doctoral fellows will be expected to participate at all
levels of the project. <b>Responsibilities may include</b>:</span></p>

and supervision of undergraduate and graduate RAs</span></p>

internal reports and peer-reviewed publications,</span></p>

international conferences,</span><span lang="EN"></span></p>

<p style="margin-left:38.9pt"><span style="font-family:Symbol" lang="EN"><span>·<span style="font:7pt "Times New Roman"">      </span></span></span><span>Research grants administration and
accounting </span><span lang="EN"></span></p>

<p><b><span lang="EN">Required
qualifications:</span></b></p>

<ul type="disc"><li><span lang="EN">Ph.D. in
     Psychology, Education, Linguistics or related field</span></li><li><span lang="EN">Experience working
     with young children in research/preschool settings</span></li><li><span lang="EN">Computer skills and
     proficiency with MS Office<br></span></li></ul>

<p><span lang="EN"><b>Preferred
qualifications</b>:</span></p>

<ul type="disc"><li><span lang="EN">Excellent
     interpersonal, leadership, writing, and organizational skills</span></li><li><span lang="EN">Ability to interact
     with a diverse population of participants</span></li><li><span lang="EN">Ability to travel
     to off-site locations that may not be accessible by public transportation</span></li><li><span lang="EN">Proficiency with
     SPSS, SAS, and/or R</span></li><li><span lang="EN">Experience with
     early child intervention projects</span></li><li><span lang="EN">Experience managing
     grants a plus</span></li><li><span lang="EN">Proficiency in
     Spanish is a plus</span></li></ul>
