Assistant/Associate Professor of Spanish and SLA

The School of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures at the University of 
Maryland invites applications for a tenure-track position, beginning 
August, 2007, for a specialist in Spanish linguistics, bilingualism, and 
SLA. We seek candidates with strong publication records and demonstrated 
potential in research and teaching, native or near-native fluency in 
Spanish and English, and Ph.D. in hand by the time of the appointment. 
Candidates at the Assistant and Associate Professor levels will be 
considered. Teaching responsibilities include undergraduate and graduate 
courses in Spanish and graduate courses in SLA.

Candidates should submit a letter of application, CV, representative 
publications or dissertation chapters, a short description of current 
research plans, and contact information (only) for three referees to: 
Ms. Anne Geary, SLA/Spanish Search Committee, School of Languages, 
Literatures, and Cultures, 1105 Jimenez Hall, University of Maryland, 
College Park, MD 20742.
