The North Carolina State University is proud to sponsor the 5th International Workshop on Spanish Sociolinguistics (WSS5). Topics based on original sociolinguistic research analyzing Spanish data or data from contact situations between Spanish and other languages will be given in 20 minute presentations and in a poster session. Papers and presentations will be delivered in Spanish and English. Selected papers will be published by Cascadilla Proceedings Project.

<br>Presented by the North Carolina Language and Life project/NCSU Linguistics program, this special session will include papers on sociolinguistics in North Carolina, an overview of the NCLLP archival software, SLAAP (found at: http://ncslaap.lib.ncsu.edu/ ), and a presentation of the new documentary, Spanish Voices, detailing Spanish in North Carolina.

<br>- Friday, April 10: Talks will be held in Room 3118 of the Talley Student Union Building. A buffet dinner will be served Friday night in the Brownstone Hotel.
<br>- Saturday, April 11: Talks will be held in Room 232A Withers Hall. An evening reception will follow.<br><br>
